my prayer

one of my favorite pictures i took at Thaipusam, January 23rd 2008 in Batu Cave, Perak – Malaysia.

looking at the picture, somehow i could ‘hear’ him chanting his prayer as he climbed the stairs toward the tample. with bare feet and sun shines right from above his head, this 7 or 8 year-old young man keeping a jar of milk and honey, as his oblation.
belief, devotion… age doesn’t matter……..
